A Brief Hiatus
I'm taking a bit of time away after a death in the family. I'll be back no later than October 17.
Those of you who have been reading “Eyes on the Right” from the beginning know that I post like clockwork, three times a week. But that isn’t going to be possible for the next 10-14 days. My father died in his sleep early Sunday morning. I will be busy attending to family matters—and mourning—for most of the time between now and October 17.
I may post something toward the end of next week (around October 12-14), but no promises. In all likelihood, the only thing I will post (when it’s ready) is my eulogy for my father. I’m going to post that even though it has nothing to do with the topic of this newsletter because, well, I run things around here and can diverge from the normal subject-matter from time to time if I want to. I also suspect some of you may enjoy learning a little bit about your humble scribe’s upbringing and family life. (It’s a pretty dramatic story.)
So things are going to go quiet here for a bit. I will be back to regular posting before you know it.
My condolences on your loss, Damon. May your father's memory be a blessing for you.
My deepest sympathies, Damon.
