Hope you're feeling better soon! My husband and I had Covid in September. Our cases were mild, but it still takes a while to get back to normal.

Rest up and get well. I have avoided it for more than two and a half years, but I am sure that my fully vaxed/boosted self will eventually do the dance with COVID.

Take care of yourself! Covid put me in the hospital with a lovely side effect: pneumonia. Pay attention to your breathing. Sore lungs are a reason to consult a doctor, if only to reassure yourself. Get well!

Exercise your brain to get out of it like you would exercise pulled muscles. It may not be relevant now to learn another language, but if you work hard learning now, your brain will work itself out by being challenged by something unfamiliar. I look forward to your commentary on Brazilian elections.

Thanks, though I won't be doing a post on Brazil. I might have done something on it had I written a proper post on Sunday. But by now I have nothing much to say. Only this: I'm glad Bolsonaro lost, but I'm not hugely thrilled about Lula winning per se, because he's far to my left and "Operation Car Wash" was a pretty huge corruption scandal that took place on his watch, even if he was unfairly prosecuted for it. I'm also pleased that Bolsonaro hasn't been following Trump's playbook by crying "election fraud" about his relatively narrow loss. But the unrest being fomented by some of his supporters around the country is troubling and could get worse. It's good that the military has refused to get involved but bad that a peaceful transition is a function of what the military does. Such is life in a country with a history of military coups.

Rest, rest, rest and get well, Damon. I have evaded infection so far and hope to continue on whatever road my path continues to take. Cross fingers.
